Historically Underutilized Business Program

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ is committed to assisting Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) by providing equal opportunities to compete for all procurement opportunities at the agency in compliance with state law and comptroller guidance. The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ»ÆƬ HUB Office assists vendors with the following:

  • Information about HUB opportunities
  • Access to procurement information
  • Completion of applicable HUB forms and reports
  • Mentor-protégé teams  

Legislative Authority 

requires state agencies to determine if subcontracting opportunities are probable in connection with agency solicitations with an expected value of $100,000 or more.

If subcontracting is probable, agencies must make a good faith effort to meet HUB goals for the procurement and ensure contractors submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan.
